Four plus eight years of Ukrainian war

We are staying the course for twelve years
Exactly 12 years ago, the Maidan coup by Ukrainian nationalists financed by Americans and Canadians (John Baird then present in the Kyiv Canadian embassy) deposed a corrupt but duly elected president. Since then, under Poroshenko and Zelensky, Ukraine’s government and the Nazi pro-NATO Azov battalion (photo) have bombed the Russian-speaking Donbass region which they claim being “our dear territory”. After Russia’s launching of its “special operation”, media propaganda not only refused our petition addressed to the Russian consul in Montreal in March 2022 which began “in light of the tragic events taking place in Ukraine, certainly caused by NATO, but perpetrated by your government’s army, …”, but also never relayed an interview by the India Times where former President Karzai of Afghanistan advised Zelensky to negotiate with Russia, otherwise Ukraine would be as devastated as his own country after 43 years of a long proxy war between Russia and the USA.

Honorary professor at Université de Montréal, Michel quips ironically this morning: “At Radio-Canada yesterday, we were treated to “objective” information, “devoid of any partisan point of view”. Journalist Bédard was in Kherson, …only on the Ukrainian side. Anchorwoman Galipeau only interviewed Zelensky …and Chrystia Freeland! Established by Kyiv, figures show 120,000 Ukrainian …and 1.2 million Russian deaths. Few territories conquered by Russia since 2022 …never exploring the possibility that Russia was not seeking to conquer but only protect the borders of Donbass. Russian drones are killing …civilians. There is an aggressor-executioner with …victims, so that we see where the good is and where the bad is. The one-dimensional Canadian media position repeats the propaganda of [NATO countries’] governments, maintaining warmongering as a solution, fueling a desire for revenge, maintaining the illusory dream of victory, justifying sending more military equipment [24 billion in 4 years!] and preparing for an even larger war. This is propaganda-journalism in a times of war.
Our media hides the divergent opinions of Ukrainian Canadians

AUUC opinions sent to all Canadian MPs and senators are never reproduced by our media: why? Because they speak of peace, unlike Zelensky. Their president Glenn Michalchuk, member of the Canada-Wide Peace and Justice Network, summarizes: “The Canadian government claims to support Ukraine at this critical moment of a choice between more war or working diplomatically to end it. The Minister of Defense David J. McGuinty responds to Zelensky’s wish for more money and more weapons for the next three years by announcing the renewal of Operation UNIFIER, an additional $2 billion for military equipment (fiscal year 2026-27), 400 armored vehicles to strengthen Ukraine’s fight. In their speeches, no de-escalation tactics or projected negotiation tools. Julia Mendel, Zelensky’s ex-press secretary, in her article “war demands more sacrifices“, denounces “a critical distortion of reality and the Ukrainians’ consciousness by war propaganda which has reached extreme limits, entailing too high a cost for my country. » Glenn finally denounces the rhetoric of a communicators’ network which has become a warlike government apparatus, fearing that Zelensky has become one of the biggest obstacles to ending the conflict.”
